You are considering a rare case that is extremely hard to find in this condition. I am a major case collector and I have seen this case offered with many more condition issues and at higher prices than the one I am offering in my listing. The sixth plate case is ready to accept your tintype or ambrotype in need of this wonderful "Scallop Shell" case. Good luck to my winning bidder.
    CONDITION
    :
Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of this cased image and as part of my description. The sixth plate case lists in Berg's bible on 19th Century cases for 5.00 and listed as RARE. The case has no major issues. The back two outside corners have tiny chips and there are a few minor stains to the surfaces outside surfaces. The compartment retains the original label and a lovely maroon toned velvet pillow. The hinges remain tight and the latch holds securely. There are no hairlines at the clasp or hinges. I am sure your own image will enjoy this case for many years ahead. I will carefully ship this item to the winning bidder by way of Priority Mail.
