Vintage Francisco Rebajes African Mask Copper Brooch.
A rare find
Measures 2 1/2" tall x 1 1/2" wide.
Preowned showing some dark spots consistent with age.   No attempt has been made to clean the piece as the spots and patina adds so much character.

Rebajes
(1907-1990) was a self-taught designer and metalsmith. Born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic he arrived in New York City in 1923. His jewelry quickly gained popularity and in the late 1930s, his work was included in exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
